NSU hosts La. Board of Regents for October meeting

Louisiana’s higher education leaders explored Northwestern State University’s progress on facilities and student services during a campus visit Oct. 22-23.

Members of the Louisiana Board of Regents (BoR), led by Commissioner of Higher Education Dr. Kim Hunter Reed, met at Northwestern State for their monthly meeting. During their time on campus, the Board toured key areas of NSU, including the university’s Food Pantry and several improvement projects. The Louisiana Board of Regents is responsible for overseeing public higher education in the state.

Reatha Cox, NSU’s vice president for the Student Experience and Dean of Students, guided the tour through the NSU Food Pantry, a resource that provides food assistance to students in need. Cox explained the impact the pantry has had on student well-being and how the university is committed to supporting student success beyond academics.
