Sheriff welcomes 4 new deputies after their graduation from academy

    Natchitoches Parish Sheriff ’s Deputies Rylee Thomas, Hannah Tingle, Breelyn Hamilton and Tristan Graves completed the 95th session of the Alexandria Regional Police Academy in Alexandria earlier this month.

    During the 16-weeks of training that began in July, the cadets received training in criminal law, defensive tactics, patrol activities, building searches, report writing, first aid, vehicle stops, physical fitness, survival tactics, chemical weapons, DWI and other law enforcement topics.

    T homas earned the David Ezernack Memorial Firearm Award for Maintaining the Highest Firearms Average during the academy session.
