  • Miss Cane River, Gabrell McLeod, was crowned Miss Louisiana June 21 in Monroe. McLeod won the title of Miss Cane River at the Queens’ Pageant in Natchitoches in September of 2024. She is from Vicksburg, Miss., and is a student at University of Louisiana Monroe where she studies athletic training. She won a preliminary talent competition the first night of the pageant was named Overall Fitness the night of the pageant. She will compete in the Miss America Pageant Sept. 7.
