Funeral services for Margaret Calvet Patterson, 86, of Campti, LA were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Truman Leach officiating. Interment followed in United Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation was from 10:30 until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Patterson was born Sept. 12, 1937 in Campti, LA and passed away Oct. 23, 2023.
Margaret was a beautician for over 30 years. She enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter. She also loved to travel.
Margaret was the proud matriarch of five generations. She adored her family and treasured the times spent with them. She truly cherished the many memories that she shared with her loving family. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Patterson, Jr. “Bobby”; son, Bobby R. Saffel; daughter, Debra Sullivan; parents, Tom Henry and Arbelle Calvet; three brothers, Tereal Calvet, Earnest Calvet and Tom Henry Calvet, Jr.; and one sister, Frances Aldridge.
Mrs. Patterson is survived by three sons, Dereal Baker, Ned Patterson and wife Jane, and Danny Saffel and wife Diane; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and companion, Gary Collins.
Pallbearers were Mason Hodges, Justin Blackmon, Ernie Litton, Tiffany Baker, Makensie Hodges, Dereal Baker Jr., Cameron Litton,and Corbin Litton. Honorary pallbearers will be Derek Hodges, Alex Morgan, and Richard Gourdon.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to her caregivers for their outstanding loving and professional care.
