Richard James “Jim” Caspari, Jr., age 78, of Natchitoches, LA passed away peacefully on Sept. 25, 2025. He was born on Dec. 1, 1946, in Natchitoches, , to the late Richard James “Dick” Caspari, Sr., and Anne Louise Tarter Caspari.
Jim was united in marriage to Barbara Jean Michwich Caspari, with whom he shared 44 years of love and family life. Together, they raised a family built on strength and love.
He is survived by his children: Richard James “Rick” Caspari III and wife Chrisie of Bellwood; Dana Michele Gautreaux and husband Craig of Mamou; Michael Lane “Mike” Caspari and wife Jennifer of Hagewood; Mark Daniel Caspari and wife Monica of The Woodlands, Texas; and Connie Davis and husband Steven Myers of Many.
Jim was a proud grandfather to Quinton, Fallon, Payton, Ethen, Megan, Logan, Brenna, Anne, Candace, Derrick, Dillon, Andrew, Alex, Caleb, Maci, Garrett, Fisher, Emma, Ava, Fallon, Matthew, Meagan, Derek, and Blake. He also leaves behind 37 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sister, Margaret Elaine, and husband Ronald Craig of Diamondhead, MS, and his niece, Carla Craig Dunn.
Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Jean, and his grandson, James Logan Warren.
An entrepreneur at heart, Jim was always seeking opportunities and building with vision. Beyond his work, he will be remembered for his devotion to family, his resilience through life’s challenges, and the love he carried for his children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren.
A man of strength and determination, Jim’s legacy will live on in the generations who follow him. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
A memorial service will be held at Bellwood Baptist Church on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025.
Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., with services beginning at 12 p.m.
