Funeral services for
Vanue B. Lacour, Jr., of
Natchez will be held Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church. The church is located at 2262 Hwy 484.
Mr. Lacour, 82, was born on Jan. 19, 1942, in Kansas City, KS to Vanue B. Lacour Sr. and Arthemise Wilson Lacour.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Business from Southern University in Baton Rouge. Mr. Lacour also served in the U.S. Air Force for five years and he was a manager for IBM.
Mr. Lacour is preceded in death by his parents, brother Leonard, sister Cynthia Nathaniel, sister-inlaw Barbara Hundley-Lacour and brother-inlaw Toyo Brown Sr.
He is survived by sons Robert (Audrey) of Pearland, TX and Brian of Austin, TX; stepdaughters Lisa Hannah and Vanessa Fenton (Adriel) of Grand Prairie TX; and five grandchildren.
Also surviving are brothers Bernard of Chicago,IL, Michael (Carol) of Atlanta GA, Anthony (Edwina) of Baker, LA; sister Elaine Brown of Nashville, TN and sister- in-law Juliet of Atlanta, GA.
Memorials may be made to Southern Foundation at Southern University and A&M College, and to St. Augustine Historical Society.
