The 19th biennial Northwestern State Athletics Scholarship Auction presented by BOM Bank is Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Natchitoches Events Center. Cocktail hour begins at 5 p.m., and the main program begins at 6 p.m.

There will be a fundraiser for Cane River Discovery Center at Dark Woods Adventure Park Friday, Sept. 12.The mini-golf classic will be at the park at 4343 University Parkway from 5:30-8 p.m. There will be family games, food and fun for all ages.

“Meet the Natchitoches Central Chiefs” will be Saturday, Aug. 16 at 6 p.m. at the Natchitoches Events Center. Admission will be $25 per person and food and drinks will be included. There will be a live auction and silent auction and a cash bar.

Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at Raging Bull Sports Bar, the newest spot in town for drinks, food, and game-day energy. They are located at 302 South Dr. Hours are Sunday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Thursday from 11 a.m. to midnight; and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Call 318/238-4000.
