The Natchitoches Lions Club worked diligently throughout the year to raise funds to support the Louisiana Lions Camp. The camp invites special needs children to camp all summer long, staffed with trained camp staff and provides campers with an opportunity to spend time at a summer camp. Nicole Woods was honored with the Melvin Jones Fellow. This is presented to Lions who exemplify dedicated humanitarian service through the Lions Clubs International Foundation. Melvin Jones founded Lions Club International in 1917. There are now over 1.4 million Lions around the world. Lions is a service-centered organization with a desire to help others.
