Professor establishes scholarship for NSU students who exhibit grit

    Dr. Susan Thorson-Barnett has grit and she is passing it along to others. “I am positive. I have hope. I work at eliminating ‘stinkin’ thinkin.’ I run marathons. What do these words have in common? They describe me,” said Thorson-Barnett, associate professor of Psychology and Addiction Studies at Northwestern State University.
