Early voting continues to be lively. After the polls closed Thursday night, tabulalations indicated so far 1,894 early votes had been cast. Of that total, 1,285 were in person and 609 absentee ballots had been returned.
Additionally, 1,068 early voters were white, 768 were black and 58 were of another race. Also, 1,142 were famale, and 752 were male.
