Need help paying your cooling bill? The Natchitoches Parish Office of Community Services (OCS) has LIHEAP funds available. To receive an appointment, call the OCS office at 318/357-2220 Monday, Nov. 2, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Online applications are closed; no walk-ins will be accepted. Services are provided based on availability of funds.
Households must meet the following requirements:
* Applicant must be responsible for the household energy bill
* Applicant must have an active heating/cooling utility bill
* Be a resident of Natchitoches Parish
* Meet LIHEAP Income Eligibility Limits
When applying for assistance, you must bring the following:
* Government issued Photo of all household members over 18
* Social Security cards for all household members
* Proof of income for the past 30 calendar days for all household members
* All check stubs for previous 30 days
* Utility bills for heating and cooling no older than 30 days
* Food Stamp Approval Letter (if receiving)
* Proof of present address (rent receipt, lease or deed, etc.)
* Utility Allowance Confirmation, if applicable
