‘On Call Week’ recognizes university faculty and personnel

Edgar Cano Lopez and Dr. Nichole Lobdell were named recipients of the Dr. Mildred Hart Bailey Faculty Research Award.
Outstanding NSU faculty were recognized for dedication to teaching, learning and commitment to academic excellence. On the front row from left are Dr. Cynthia Lindsey, Distinguished Teaching and Impact Award; Dr. Rebecca Macijeski, Excellence in Teaching Award, and Melissa Kelly, Innovation and Academic Practice in Teaching in the General Education Core. We at Northwestern stand at the intersection of tradition and transformation,” Northwestern State President Jimmy Genovese said when he addressed faculty and staff during “On Call Week.’ Genovese gave a legislative update and talked about improvements at the university.
In advance of the school’s 142nd academic year, Northwestern State University personnel began on-call week Monday with the annual Faculty/Staff Institute that included awards, recognitions, introduction of new faculty and President James Genovese’ state of the university address.
