The City Council will not provide local match funding to support a rural public transportation system since members voted not to provide the funding at the City Council meeting Monday.
Rapides Area Planning Commission member Jonathan Bolen had sought $40,500 from the City Council as part of the $100,000 needed to keep the pilot program operating for another year.
