Natchitoches Parish School District has announced all classes at Natchitoches Junior High and L.P. resume Tuesday Dec. 12. On Monday the Natchitoches Parish School District received a bomb threat regarding the two schools. All students, faculty and staff were evacuated and classes were cancelled for the remaining of the day. The Natchitoches Police Department, Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office and Natchitoches Fire Department searched the campus for any suspicious items. After a thorough search of the property, NPSB officials were notified that the school could resume normal operations. NPSB officials stated they take the safety and security of its students and staff very seriously, and it is unfortunate that these threats are being made in schools and school districts across the country. The Natchitoches Police Department continues to actively investigating the event and more details will be released as they become available.
