Do you know who is on your ballot in the Oct. 14 election? Due to reapportionment new district maps were drawn for Congressional seats, state legislative seats and others last year. As a result, there were significant changes to the state House of Representatives and state Senate districts in Natchitoches Parish.
For example, not every local voter is in State Senator District 31 where local Mike McConathy is facing Alan Seabaugh.
Those voters with changes should have received a new Voter Information Card from Natchitoches Parish Registrar of Voters Kathrin Holden. Folks can also download the GeauxVote Mobile app to find your districts, voting location, ballot and so much more.
For more information, call the Natchitoches Registrar of Voters Office at 318/357-2211.
On the ballot are Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General Treasurer, BESE District 4, Senate District 31 State Representative District 25, Sheriff, Parish President, Council Member District 1, Council Member District 4, and Council Member District 5.
