A Bienville Parish man who was on the run for 32 years was sentenced for a shooting in Ringgold.
On Thursday, July 18, a judge in Claiborne Parish sentenced Greg Lawson to 45 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections without the benefit of parole.
Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Office prosecuted the case.
Lawson, 64, was captured in Mexico in September of 2023, after the FBI received a tip.
