The Natchitoches Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred early Sunday morning off of Texas Street.
On March 17 around 3:27 a.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Texas and Sixth Streets in reference to a gunshot victim. Officers found Deon Coleman, a 23-year-old black male from Natchitoches. Natchitoches Parish Coroner’s Office pronounced Coleman deceased.
