More than 40 firefighters from across the region received free cancer screenings thanks to an initiative led by the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center (NRMC) Foundation.
The event, held at the NRMC Multispecialty Clinic, was part of an ongoing effort to support firefighters, who face increased cancer risks due to exposure to harmful chemicals in the line of duty.
