Two large commercial construction projects have caused a dramatic increase in the valuation of building permits in the City. The total valuation of permits during April was $148,727 for 16 permits. During May, the City of Natchitoches Planning and Zoning Department issued 52 permits with a valuation of $4,146,155. Some locations required several permits.
