The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued for a FLOOD WATCH for Natchitoches Parish. FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING, May 16-17. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
According to the National Weather Service in Shreveport showers and thunderstorms will increase and become more widespread by Thursday afternoon and continue through much of Friday. Rainfall totals of 2-4 inches with localized higher amounts will be possible in the Flood Watch area.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Black Lake: 102.31 feet at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15.
