OLD BETHEL NEWS

Body
Sunday, Bro. Wayne Salley brought the message from James 5:1318. Bro. Wayne said a quote from Dr. Adrian Rogers, “Learn to pray in the light, you may need in the dark.” We are human, we have seasons when we have bad things happen in our life. We pray when we are sick. When we are faint at heart, that’s when we need the Lord the most. Instead of turning to God, we turn the other way. Sometimes we feel like we are stuck. It happens! Why is that? What is in the way? We have got to ask God what it is. Is it something we are doing? Vs. 16 confess your sins one to another. We are not perfect. We must confess our faults. Vs. 13 is about personal prayer. Vs. 14 Pray with the elders. Vs 15 person to person prayer. Vs. 16 pray in difficult situations Vs 17 a reminder that prayer works. Some say Romans 3:10 and James 5:16 contradicts each other. They don’t because Jesus Christ is the only righteous one. Jesus stepped in for our sin on the cross. Have you accepted Him?
