The Natchitoches Parish Veterans and Memorial Park Committee is currently working on the list of Veterans who have passed away since April of 2023. Each year the names of those recently deceased are read at the Memorial Day Program.

The Louisiana House of Representatives advanced House Bill 1 (HB1) by a unanimous vote of the members present (1040) sending it to the Senate for further consideration. HB1, along with the other budget bills, collectively work together to appropriate funding for the operation of state government in the next fiscal year (FY 25).
