Program by City supports local business

The City of Natchitoches announces the launch of the Ask Natchitoches First movement, beginning Friday, Oct. 3. This initiative is designed to encourage residents to support local businesses and strengthen the city’s economy by shopping local first.

Temporary Water outage on east end of Keyser Avenue

The City of Natchitoches would like to notify the public of a temporary water outage due to an emergency repair of a water line.  The City of Natchitoches Utilities Department will conduct repairs on a broken 10-inch water main beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1.

City announces street work

City of Natchitoches announces upcoming construction work on Woodyard Drive and East Fifth Street. On or around Monday, Sept. 29, pavement removal and base reconstruction work will begin on a 1,200-linear foot section of Woodyard Drive beginning approximately 0.

Head Start gets new sponsor

Prime Time, Inc., has been selected by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to be the Head Start grantee for DeSoto, Natchitoches and Red River parishes. With this award, Prime Time will serve 191 children ages six weeks to five years old with free, high-quality preschool services.
