LSMSA students Merit semifinalists

Three students from Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) in Natchitoches were chosen alongside 16,000 National Merit Scholarship semifinalists as part of the 71st annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

Parish Council gets list of roads needing work

As usual, road maintenance dominated the discussion at the Parish Council meeting Monday.Parish President John Salter compiled a list of roads he has targeted for maintenance.There was also a lengthy discussion about whether the highway department can work on roads in parish municipalities.

The efficiency, speed and unity of all the law enforcement agencies in Utah investigating the murder there was truly impressive.It was not a fluke or luck they made an arrest. It was really good, detailed police work.
