Gulf Coast visitors can ride Amtrak between Mobile and New Orleans

Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser last week joined Amtrak officials and a host of dignitaries for a ribbon cutting to launch a new passenger service, the Amtrak Mardi Gras Service. The twice daily service runs along the Gulf Coast between New Orleans and Mobile, AL with stops in Bay St.

Mini-golf fundraiser is Friday night

There will be a fundraiser for Cane River Discovery Center at Dark Woods Adventure Park Friday, Sept. 12.The mini-golf classic will be at the park at 4343 University Parkway from 5:30-8 p.m. There will be family games, food and fun for all ages.
