Sunday, Bro. Wayne and his wife,Leslie were on vacation. We had Sunday School. During church time, Malcolm Durr, who is moderator, did the announcements and we went over the prayer List. Judy Montett led the song service. After the song service Malcolm talked about how we are blessed.

FAUNA bath the dogs day is Aug. 9, Sept. 13 and Oct. 11 at Tractor Supply from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Baths for dogs under 60 pounds cost $10; $15 for larger dogs. Nail clipping and anal glands are $10 each.

Heritage Area launches new phase for Discovery Center

Cane River National Heritage Area (CRNHA) announces the next stage in the development of the Cane River Discovery Center, a new children’s museum and visitor center designed to inspire curiosity, exploration and a deep connection to the region’s rich cultural and natural heritage.

St. Vincent dePaul Society/ Lions Club of Natchitoches

Natchitoches Lions Club members learned about St. Vincent de Paul Society, Natchitoches during it’s program meeting. St. Vincent de Paul, like the Lions Club, is an international organization. There are approximately 800,000 members globally and the non-profit organization was founded in 1833.

The announcement of a Cane River Discovery Center—a children’s museum and visitors center— is an exciting development for our area. It appears to be a federally funded project…with some local support…since it is under the Cane River National Heritage Area.
