A large group of students and faculty from Northwestern State University’s Department of Social Work got a close look at the workings of state government and the importance of advocacy during a two-day visit to Baton Rouge April 23-24.

Stranded motorist ends up arrested

Natchitoches Parish deputies arrested a Robeline woman on felony drug charges. On May 2, at approximately 1:07 p.m. deputies were patrolling on I-49 near milepost #140 north of Natchitoches when they observed a disabled motorist parked on the shoulder with emergency flashers on.
