2 FAUNA faundraisers planned

Mark your Calendar! The first FAUNA Dog Wash & Nail clipping of the season is Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tractor Supply. Baths are $10; over 60 pounds $15. Nails cost $10; anal gland expression $10.Then, help raise additional dollars for Natchitoches animals.

Little Eva Plantation Spring Fling

Artisans, plants, crafts, jewelry, food, fresh vegetables and animals galore were hand for family and friends to enjoy at Little Eva Plantation’s Spring Fling Saturday.

OngoingVoices 4 Autism is offering a Chair Fitness Class geared toward older active adults or anyone who needs a low impact class to stay strong and mobile.The free weekly class is held Thursdays from 10 to 11 a.m. at the MLK Recreational Center dance studio. Instructor is Ms. RM Reilford.

‘Hard flush’ of water system underway

Greg Roberts Fire Hydrant Repair and Supply will conduct a hard flush on the water system through Friday, May 9, throughout the City of Natchitoches.The purpose of this process is to clean out the water lines.

Cancer screening dates listed

The Cenla Medication Access Program’s Cancer Screening Mobile Unit will visit Natchitoches Parish on May 20-21 to offer free breast, colorectal and cervical cancer screenings for eligible Central Louisiana residents.
