NPSO deputies arrest man on drug charges following Natchez altercation

On Friday, April 18, around 7:40 p.m., deputies assigned to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff ’s Office Patrol Operations Bureau were patrolling an apartment complex located in the 100 block of Louisiana Highway 119 in Natchez.Deputies observed a male and female involved in an apparent altercation.

La DOTD announces work on 2 sites in Natchitoches Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that as of Wednesday, April 23, the bridge on LA 119 over BAYOU PIERRE is closed. The bridge is located 5.89 MI. NORTH OF LA 8.The detour northbound will be via LA 119 to LA 8 west to I-49 north to LA 119.

Parish Council meeting is Monday

The regular meeting of the Natchitoches Parish Council will be held on Monday, April 28 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council meeting room on second floor of the Natchitoches Parish Courthouse.The meeting has been moved to April 28 instead of its usual date of the third Monday of the week.
