Over 30,000 apply for LAGATOR Gator scholarship program

The Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) announced today that it received more than 39,000 student applications for the Louisiana Giving All True Opportunity to Rise (LA GATOR) Scholarship Program for the 2025–2026 school year.

At Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts, the final weeks of each school year are highlighted by a cavalcade of performances, concerts, and exhibitions presented by the school’s Creative and Performing Arts Department. These events are free and open to all in the community .

FAUNA fundraiser is ‘Give for Good’

Help raise money for Natchitoches animals. “Give for Good with FAUNA” takes place at Flying Heart Brewery Tuesday, May 6, from 48 p.m.Attendees will meet adoptable rescue dogs and, enjoy live music with Jenny & Kelli from 6- 8 p.m. There are also asked to donate to the cause.
