Jury convicts man on charges of owning firearm by felon

District Attorney Billy Joe Harrington announced today that a 10th Judicial District Court jury has convicted a Campti man of illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.Dakota Harvey, 36, was prohibited from possessing firearms due to prior a felony conviction of aggravated battery.

Four people shot at Clarence trailride on Catholic Lane

Four people were found suffering from gunshot wounds Saturday, March 22, around 8 p.m. after Natchitoches Parish Sheriff ’s Deputies responded to multiple reports of “shots fired” at a trail ride event off Catholic Lane in Clarence according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Stuart Wright.

Houseboats must be registered with Wildlife and Fisheries

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) wants to remind anyone who owns a houseboat that they must have it registered. The rules state that every houseboat operated, occupied, inhabited, utilized, or otherwise deployed on the waters of Louisiana must be registered with LDWF.

Hall of Fame and Museum hosting program
