Sunday, Bro. Wayne Salley was sick. His wife Leslie has bronchitis. We had church, but Malcolm didn’t really know what to do because we didn’t have a preacher. After Sunday School just before we started singing, Mary Gore walked in. She said that the Lord told her to visit Old Bethel today.

Routine traffic violation leads to alleged drug charges for driver

A traffic stop near Powhatan resulted in the arrest of a Robeline man on felony drug and weapon charges according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Stuart Wright.About 5 p.m. March 5, deputies stopped a 2009 Ford pickup on La. Hwy. 485 near the I-49 Powhatan exit for a traffic violation.

Suspicious activity at stores results to arrest of Mississippi man

A Mississippi man reportedly acting suspiciously at two Natchitoches Parish businesses, at least 42miles apart, was arrested by Natchitoches Parish Sheriff ’s Deputies and Louisiana State Police March 3 according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Stuart Wright.The first call was about 7:50 a.m.
