The James Oliphant Memorial Golf Scramble is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, at Northwestern Hills Golf Course. Tip off will be at 8 a.m., with continental breakfast starting at 7 a.m., followed by the awards presentation for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, Longest Drive, Closest to Pin and raffle prizes.

Resisting Officer

The Natchitoches Police Department arrested Demontray Pier, 24, of Natchitoches, for battery of a police officer, resisting a police officer with force or violence and criminal trespass.On Feb 17, around 10:45 a.m., officers were dispatched to Super 1 Foods on Keyser Ave.

Discharging Gun

The Natchitoches Police Department arrested Desmond Williams, 18, of Natchitoches, for discharging a firearm within the city limits and obstruction of justice.On Feb. 16, around 5:52 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Rowena Street in reference to gunshots in the area.
