PINEVILLE, La. – May 29, 2026 – The 2026 Atlantic hurricane season begins on June 1 and runs through the end of November. Cleco is ready and encourages customers to prepare.

NSU to offer Summer Rock Camp

NATCHITOCHES – A Summer Rock Camp will be held at Northwestern State University on June 22-26 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. in the Fine Arts Annex. The fee for the camp is $180, which is due when camp contracts come out.

House approves amendment tweaking new maps

The Louisiana House approved an amendment May 28 tweaking its final version of the U.S. House congressional map that would give Republicans majorities in five of the state’s six districts.
