1 suspect dead in Cane River, 2nd suspect armed, dangerous

The body of seconddegree murder suspect Angle Lee Reed, 31, of Natchitoches, was found in Cane River Lake on Wednesday.According to the Natchitoches Police Department, on Nov. 13 around 2:11 p.m., officers were contacted about a possible body in Cane River Lake along Woodyard Drive.

Yea! Natchez has a budget

The Village of Natchez has a General Fund budget. The alderman unanimously approved Ordinance 011-2024, the Proposed Budget for 2024-2025 with amendments during its regular meeting on Thursday Nov. 7. Final budget is $199,540 in revenues and $186.220 in expenses.

PAR provides explanation of amendments

Voters are being asked to consider four amendments to the Louisiana Constitution in the Dec. 7 election.Since voters ratified the Louisiana Constitution in 1974, they have been asked to decide 316 amendments, a number growing to 321 this year with the current list of proposals.
