Grammy award winner will play at Jazz Orchestra Concert in Magale

The Northwestern State University Jazz Orchestra will present a concert on Monday, Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Magale Recital Hall. Admission is free. A live stream of the concert will be available at nsula.edu/capa/capali vestream.

‘Playing with Mud’ set for beginners

A beginning ceramics class, “Playing in the Mud,” will be offered through Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic Learning and Global Education starting Nov. 7. The class will be held on Thursday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. through Dec. 19 in Room 113 of the Fine Arts Annex.

Pianist Manuel Matarrita will present a recital on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 5:30 p.m. in Magale Recital Hall. The concert is part of the Louisiana Piano Series International. Tickets are $15.
