NPSO deputies arrest man in stolen vehicle with semi-automatic rifle

A Lafayette man wanted in Texas was arrested Friday afternoon after Natchitoches Parish Sheriff ’s Deputies located him driving a reported stolen vehicle, resulting in the seizure of illegal narcotics and an AR-15 style semi-automatic rifle, according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Stuart Wright.

Poche Foundation supports anglers at NSU and Cure Sanfilippo Foundation

For the past decade the Dylan Kyle Poche Memorial Foundation has supported Northwestern State University’s competitive bass fishing team, raising money by hosting the DKP Memorial Fishing Tournament on Toledo Bend. But this year’s 10th annual event wasn’t just about fishing and scholarships.
