Woman stopped for altered license plate, drug paraphernalia found

On Saturday, Oct. 20, around 12:45 a.m., Deputies assigned to the NPSO Patrol Operations Bureau stopped a 2021 Nissan Titan for an altered license plate while patrolling on La. Hwy 6 East near Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches.The driver was identified as 52-year-old Erica A.

Low water pressure prompts boil advisory for White Oak Lane

White Oak Lane within the City of Natchitoches Distribution System experienced low pressure Oct. 21 This drop in system pressure below 20 pounds was caused by a water main break at the booster station in which the main had to be shut off to make repairs.

Governor names Natchitoches attorney to UL System Board

Early voting continues, 14% have cast choice

Spanish Lake Festival will be at St. Anne’s

Spanish Lake Fall Festival at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Robeline Oct. 26 begins at noon. There will be live music, dancing, spaghetti dinner for $10, costume contests for adults and children, Bingo, cake walk, children’s games and prizes. Band begins at 7 p.m. with $10 admission.
