Northwestern Theatre and Dance to perform long-running comedy with different slant on Shakespeare

“The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] (again),” will be performed by Northwestern State University Theatre and Dance on March 11-15 in Theatre West. Performance times are March 11-14 at 7:30 p.m. and March 14-15 at 2 p.m. Pia Wyatt is the director.

NPD charges teacher with cruelty to juveniles after alleged incident

The Natchitoches Police Department has arrested Kimberly Hayward, 59, of Natchitoches for cruelty to juveniles.On Feb, 26, , officers were dispatched to L.P. Vaughn Elementary School in reference to a student being struck by an educator.

NSU will hold Private Investigator Training Course March 13-15

Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic Learning and Global Education will offer a 40Hour Basic Private Investigator Training Course on March 13-15 and 20-22 in the second-floor classroom of South Hall on NSU’s Natchitoches campus.The class will be on Friday from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Free yoga classes continue at library

The Natchitoches Parish Library (NPL) is giving the community a free opportunity to improve flexibility, reduce stress, and learn something new, all at the same time. As part of its ongoing Health & Fitness Series, the NPL’s Main Branch is hosting free weekly yoga classes every Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
