  • The new chiller moved over the courthouse into the space behind the Veterans Park between the Natchitoches Parish Courthouse and the Old Courthouse on Second Street. Natchitoches Parish Council member Wayne Halm was on hand to document that there was no units were moved through the Veterans Park because the old and new chiller were lifted in and out by the crane. The only foot traffic was from employes.

    Part of Church Street was closed Thursday morning while Mechanical Cooling Service removed the old HVAC and replaced it with a new one at the Natchitoches Parish Courthouse. Several truck loads of equipment arrived in Natchitoches about 6 a.m. to erect the crane and get ready for the installation. The old unit was a rental and weighed 2,500 pounds while the new unit weighed 4,000 pounds...
