SARAH MARIE WOOD COUSHATTA, LA

Funeral services for Sarah Marie Wood, 64, of Coushatta, LA were at 11 A.M. Wednesday, May 20 at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel with Troy Keith officiating and eulogy by Intha Fields. Interment followed in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. May 19 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wood was born May 27, 1961, in Hicksville, OH and passed away May 17, 2026. Sarah was a wonderful cook and a hardworking woman whose perseverance never wavered. She had a positive attitude and an infectious laugh, never meeting a stranger. Sarah, affectionately known as “Aunt Sarah” played such an important role in not only her nieces and nephews’ lives, but in so many other children’s lives that she made so much better, simply by being a part of their life.

Sarah loved both of her husbands, Terry Lane and Clinton, as well as her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all her heart. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Terry Lane Clark Sr.; parents, Kenneth and Phyllis Morse; four brothers, Henry, Vernon, Jimbo, and Loyed Morse; two sisters, Geraldine Morse and Mary Ann Bamburg; granddaughter, Olivia Jade Bice; sisters-inlaw, Janice Morse and Connie Shaffer and husband, Brian.

Mrs. Wood is survived by her husband, Clinton Wood; two sons, Terry Clark Jr. and wife, Lacie and Seth Wood and wife, Katelyn; four daughters, Intha Fields and husband, Jack, Debra Bice, Cydney Wood and Ayla Bamburg; one brother, Kenneth Morse; two sisters, Sharon Fredieu and husband, Nelson and Phyllis Ash; sisters-inlaw and best friends, Diane Morse and Jackie Snyder; grandchildren: Faith Fields, William Fields, Daniel Bice Jr. and wife Kori, Darren Bice, Hanna Bice, Trevor Clark, Lucas Clark, Lily Clark, Liam Clark, Karleigh Wood, Quaid Thomas, Johnaton Wood, Rainna Wood, Chaseton Wood, Coleston Wood, Kynzley Bell, Aaron Howard Jr., and Malakai Howard; great-grandchildren, Raelynn Bice, Saylor Bice and Oaklynn Bice.

Pallbearers were Rodney Bamburg, Rocky Bamburg, James Morse II, Justin Parker, Dakoda Morse and Hunter Roberts.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kayne Hartley, Jarred Durr, Montgomery Durr and Eli Wood.
