Early Voting for the Oct. 14 election is being held in the Registrar of Voters Office located in the e Registrar of Voters Office in the courthouse at 200 Church Street, Room 103, on Saturday, Sept 30, through Saturday, Oct. 7, from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. (Closed on Sunday, Oct. 1.)
Absentee voting by mail is intended for voters who will be out of the parish on Election Day and the week of early voting, or if a person is over 65, or has a mobility impaired ID card (must provide copy). The last day to make a written request for an Absentee Ballot by mail is Tuesday, Oct. 10 by 4:30 p.m. Written request forms can be downloaded at www.sos.ls.gov under “Elections” click on the “VOTE” link; click on ‘VOTE BY MAIL”; click on “APPLICATION TO VOTE BY MAIL.”
Your request must include: Voter’s name, Natchitoches h Parish Address, date of birth, Social Security number or drivers license number, reason the ballot is being requested, election date (Oct. 14, 2023), address to mail ballot and voters signature.
Mail and handdelivered ballots must be returned to Registrar of Voters Office by 4:30 p.m. the day before the Election (Oct. 13, 2023).
Military and overseas ballots must be returned before noon on Election Day. On Election Day polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
On the ballot are Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, Treasurer, BESE District 4, Sheriff, Parish President, Council Member for District 1 District 4, and District 5, State Representative for District 25, State Senate District 31, and four Proposed Constitutional Amendments.
