There still time to sign up for the Kiwanis Club annual fundraising run and pancake breakfast. In its sixth year, the festival style event takes place at Northwestern State University’s Collin’s Pavilion Saturday, Oct. 7, beginning at 8 a.m. It includes a one-mile fun run and 5K Color Run with medals for both races.
Along the route, there will be volunteers throwing color at those who participate. The pancakes are free to all guests.The Pancake Festival will also offer a wide array of events including pancake flipping contest and a free Kids Zone that includes face painting and bounce houses. On eh breakfast menu are pancakes, sausage, and choice of milk, coffee, apple juice and orange juice.
There will also be face painting, bouncy houses, and more. All proceeds raised will go to the Natchitoches community’s children through service projects, school supplies, literacy projects, and more.
