National Recovery Month was celebrated last week at the Natchitoches Behavioral Health Center. This year’s theme was “Every Person, Every Family, Every Community” to emphasize recovery is possible for all. Local dignitaries in attendance were Mayor Ronnie Williams, Jr. and Sheriff Stuart Wright. During the event organizer Faye Hobley read the U.S. President’s Proclamation which began “During National Recovery Month, we celebrate the more than 20 million Americans who have had the courage to seek help for substance use disorder, showing millions of others that recovery is possible. We honor their resilience and recommit to making sure that every American has access to the services and support they need to rebuild lives of purpose and hope.” The Center is located at 210 Medical Dr. Call 318/357-3122 for more information.
