A total of 2,894 or 12.4 percent of eligible voters have cast their vote in the Oct. 14 Gubernatorial Primary Election. Here is a breakdown of early voters: 1,766 are white, 1,038 are black and 92 are other race. Additionally, 1,275 are male, 1,616 are female, 1,337 are Democrat, 1,099 are Republican and 458 are other parties. Lastly, 2,350 voted in person and 544 turned in voted absentee ballots.
