Congressman Mike Johnson made history Wednesday when he was elected Speaker of the House, the first time a Louisianan has held the position.
Additionally, with Majority Leader Steve Scalise of Metairie already in place, Louisiana now has the top two positions in the House. ?”The challenge before us is great, but the time for action is now and I will not let you down,” said Speaker Johnson.
