The qualifying period for the March 23, 2024,Municipal Election is over.
The City of Natchitoches candidates are:
Mayor of Natchitoches: incumbent Ronnie Williams, Jr, James Below, Jr., Jerry Whitman, Jr. and former mayor Lee Posey; Council- at –Large: incumbent Betty Sawyer Smith, Harold Bayonne, Greg Burke and Dennis Boyt City; District 1: incumbent Eddie Harrington; District 2: incumbent Dale Nielson and Maria Mangum; District 3: incumbent Chris Petite and Carl Sias; and District Four: Incumbent Rosemary Washington and Robert Lilly, Jr.
The Clarence candidates are: Mayor: Leslie Oglesby and Marques Braxton; Aldermen: Scheryl Kelsey, Billy Jennings, Aretha McWright, Tamala Chatman, Shanita Grayson and Caldron Payton; and Chief of Police: James Milstead and Demetric Joseph.
Powhatan candidates are: Mayor: Jamika Neal; Aldermen: Pamela Rivers, Cherry Holden and Ezekial Jewett. There is no chief of police candidate for Powhatan.
Other candidates are: At-large Republican Parish Executive Committee and District 31B Republican State Central Committee: Rick Nowlin of Natchitoches; District 31 H Republican Central Committee: Bradford D. Walker of Robeline; and
At- Large Democratic Parish Executive Committee: Lamar McGaskey Soni Sers and Joe Sers
