The City has begun the process to replace lead water pipes as part of a mandate from the Louisiana Environment Protection Agency.
The City will sell revenue bonds in the amount of $2.7 million to pay for the inventory of lead service lines, water mains, meters, valves, hydrants, erosion control and related items.
