The Ben D. Johnson Education Center is hosting its “I Tried” fundraiser, a celebration of Mr. Ben Johnson’s life and his legacy on Thursday, Aug. 29, which would have been his 114th birthday. The event gets underway at 5:30 p.m. at Riverside Reserve at 114 Mill St.
