Panels and kiosks tell the story of The American Revolution. The mannequins represent the roles played by, , from left, women, Native Americans, Patriot soldiers women and minorities. Some 5,000 Black patriots were combat-dedicated troops.

Patrick and Luke Clayton are from Beaufort, S.C. and are visiting Johnson. The Claytons are interested in history since Beaufort was founded in 1710, four years before Natchitoches.
Hosting the grand opening of “The American Revolution Experience ” at the National Center for Preservation Training and Technology at 645 University Parkway Tuesday morning were several members of the Cane River DAR, sponsors of the exhibit. The exhibit will run through Dec. 6 at the National Center for Preservation Training & Technology (NCPTT), on Northwestern State University Campus, from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. It is sponsored by the Cane River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution....
