The controversy at the City Council meting Monday was about a property owner’s rights versus the character of a neighborhood.

The Council voted on seven applications for rezoning for residential homeowners to operate Airbnb in their homes. The Council approved six of those applications but denied the request of Sonya Ross for an Airbnb at 400 Parkway.
